embedded healing

The colonial paradigm that is still harming everything that breathes, grows, and turns is most alive inside our minds. The hostile devaluing messaging jarring our heads leads some of us to echo it, hurting each other, ourselves, and Earth. We continue this, forgetting the enemy is not any one human, but a man-made system which is an entity built to last, that now governs what we know, how we heal, where we live, what we eat, and who is caged, all while calling itself by other names ("capitalism", "democracy"). If we consign to our existence being steeped in this colonial paradigm, the collective apathy will be its oil. Without resistance, it smoothly perpetuates on in a trail of destruction--land, lives, souls and air are its feed.

Our natural born grief and anger exist to guide us to action, to connect, to share love and knowledge and memories, to stand up for ourselves and each other, to fight for earth. It is no surprise then that we are conditioned to numb ourselves. We often neglect to feel our pain and recognize that it is a collective pain. The system’s techniques cause fragmentation. For one to think of oneself as separate from creation, from humanity even, is a great asset to this system.

To divide and divert attention, to misdirect and fuel anger into hate and maintain an energetic void powerful enough that people mistake it as their own, when it is all of our stolen senses of belonging, all our stolen ability to grieve and mourn collectively or to celebrate and support one another fully, stolen closeness, stolen knowledge, stolen faith. With an abyss such as this driving us apart, and erasing the communal human qualities which allowed us to ever come this far, we are agonized and spiritually wasting. Many of us are led to seeking empty or toxic substitutes for temporal relief.

This trajectory has meant nearly all family lines have accumulated a level of trauma that feels personally insurmountable for them to face. Who is to look and not turn away? Who is to hold and feel it? Who can let the generations of suppressed fear, rage, shame be honored and deemed worthy of expression, and who can grieve the consequences of the binding fear, the wounding rage and the isolating shame? Where we deserved freedom, safety, belonging.
Under the colonial paradigm, there often has been no freedom to feel these things safely because there was often no belonging. The microcosm of oppressive cycles reflects the macrocosm--its apparent wearing away on the human spirit could not account for something enduring though.
What is intelligent information imprinted on matter ? That is our DNA, and our ancestors coded power into it: intuition, awareness, empathy, passion, the ability to learn, to make choices, to be free to choose what to become and what to leave behind, intuit how we can best be of service to the world, and fulfill that promise.

The same plasticity that allows wounding to embed allows healing to embed. We can change even the most entrenched reactions to our epigenetic trauma, the most deeply ingrained beliefs that keep us from our full capacity as humans.

When tuned into all of our instincts, aware of patterns, in emotional resonance, moving purposefully with resilience, and growing our knowledge, we adapt into beings capable of restoring each other, through compassionate witnessing, knowledge transfer, collective effervescence. We are then at that level of healing and unity able to hack the hacker, and kill off its parasitic culture, just like our ancestors dreamed for us and are still dreaming.
